Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director Financial Systems, the Business Systems Analyst II will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the utilization of all systems in the Administration and Finance Division, with a primary focus on Workday Finance and Adaptive Planning. The individual will work with functional leads across the university to support and enhance the suite of Workday Financial Management applications which supports general accounting and ledger, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting and procurement. The Business Systems Analyst II will partner with business stakeholders to contribute to numerous projects to increase business efficiency.

Essential Duties

* Reviews, implements, supports and optimizes financial systems used by the Administration and Finance Division to meet business needs.
* Maintains and creates financial reports within Workday (Advanced & Composite reports) and OfficeConnect.
* Analyze reported issues and follows through to satisfactory resolution.
* Assist with testing of system releases, features and upgrades including tracking and implementation of requested features.
* Recommend changes and solutions to current business processes related to security, segregation of duties and industry standards.
* Authors test plans and records results of system tests.
* Develop and maintain technical and training documentation related to financial systems.
* Collaborate with support teams and external consultants as needed.
* Monitor recurring integration processes, internal and external, to ensure successful execution and troubleshoot any failed processes.
* Contributes to the overall success of the division by performing related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience with Workday Financial modules.
* Experience with Workday reporting including OfficeConnect.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, for data validation and analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage and prioritize multiple demands and work independently.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to read and interpret financial data.
* Must be highly detail-oriented with strong analytic, problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with co-workers and multiple levels of management in regard to delivery of financial information.
* Ability to troubleshoot problems and research possible solutions using Workday Community.
* Experience with higher education preferred.

Work Environment

* Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer work.
* Ability to travel around campus for meetings and other work related events.
* Hybrid Position.
