Non - Student Intern, Temporary - Business Design & Optimization Group

Requirements

The Business Design & Optimization Group (BDOG) is Georgetown's internal management consulting team that supports the delivery of world-class education and research through business process improvement, professional project management services and financial expertise to the university leadership. Working under the direction and mentorship of the BDOG full-time team, Non- Student Interns will:
  • Conduct focused market research on guided higher education industry topics.
  • Take formal meeting notes and track action items for projects.
  • Assist with stakeholder interviews for new and existing projects.
  • Develop presentations and case studies.
  • Analyze and visualize datasets.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • A recent graduate from a university, with familiarity with consulting and general financial modeling
  • Available to work up to 25 hours per week
  • Proven self-starter who is comfortable with both leading and being led in projects
  • Eager to work both in teams and independently, including comfort with a primarily remote/virtual work environment
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Workplace (Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
  • Capacity to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively
  • Proven track record of using qualitative and quantitative data/supporting information to support a conclusion
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Willingness to receive, give, and act upon constructive feedback to advance their projects and professional development
  • Solid research skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially when working on higher-profile university initiatives


Work Mode Designation

This position has been designated as Hybrid 1 Day. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Pay Range

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $17.10- $20.90. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
