Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $90,000.00

Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Information Technology, the IT Business Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the IT departments business functions. This role will provide operational, financial, human resources management, IT contract management, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency within the IT department. This position will also serve as a liaison within the various University colleges and departments including external partners. Additionally, the IT Business Operations Manager will provide accurate data and assist in the executive of various short, medium, and long-term projects, including events as deemed necessary for the IT Department. The IT Business Operations Manager collaborates closely with IT leadership, finance, HR, and other departments to align operational strategies with business objectives, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess a combination of technical knowledge, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to manage IT operations efficiently, , as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Technical Knowledge
Familiarity of IT systems, infrastructure, software, and hardware.
Familiatiry of IT service management frameworks
Knowledge of data management practices, cloud computing, cybersecurity.
Proficiency in using IT service management tools, project management software and ERP systems.
Ability to interpret and work with IT performance dashboards, KPI reports, and metrics.
Excellent computer skills; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Banner, and Self-Service

Business and Financial Management
In-depth knowledge of budgeting, financial forecasting, & cost management principles
Understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
Familiarity with financial reporting, accounting principles, and ERP systems
Strong skills in budget planning, tracking, and cost analysis
Ability to interpret financial data and generate reports for leadership

Leadership, Team Management, and Interpersonal
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse units and personalities within the College and across the University.
Ability to delegate tasks, provide clear direction, and ensure accountability within the team.
Supervisory/management skills to provide effective leadership to manage direct reports.

Communication/Analytical/Organizational
Adaptability and ability to respond to changing business needs and operational demands.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle detail-orientated assignments.
Organizational skills necessary to prioritize workload to meet long and short-term deadlines
Flexibility in job assignments to meet departmental priorities and emerging or unplanned initiatives
Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments with accuracy and consistency, with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to interact effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students is a top priority.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Organizational Management or related training/field experience required.
Experience: 2-4 years experience in supporting business operations and supervisory responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to those with a Bachelors degree or higher.
