Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, this role will have the responsibility for execution, oversight, and stakeholder outreach to drive program advancement for the Boots to Business (B2B) program. B2B is a two-day workshop that is delivered OCONUS. This position controls and reports on annual budget for B2B, ensuring it is accomplished on time and within budget. Responsibilities include administering program portfolio, including participant applications, budget reconciliation and tracking, speaker/instructor payments, invoice/requisition processing, and marketing collateral, as well as identification, recruitment and support of instructors and speakers for programs. This position also acts as a liaison to veterans, faculty, sponsors, colleges and other campus departments and purchased services. This person will work closely with the Small Business Administration (SBA) team and the Transition Service Manager at each location OCONUS (overseas installations) to coordinate specifics of the grant. This position coordinates closely with the evaluation and budget teams within the IVMF. A collaborative, organized, responsible, individual with the ability to maintain attention to detail, and exercise professional, independent judgement is needed for the role.

This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis if the candidate is not identified in the Syracuse/Central New York area. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall administration of the B2B program, including participant applications, procard reconciliations, budget tracking, speaker/instructor payments and expense reports (in foreign currencies), invoice/requisition processing, and development/maintenance/updating/distribution of print and web collateral.
  • Liaise with the SBA Curriculum Lead to ensure program is on time, within budget and maintained/updated as necessary.
  • Manage distance learning platform to ensure all administrative and reporting program needs are met.
  • Arrange and execute B2B events in collaboration with the Office of Veterans Business Development and entrepreneurship team.
  • Identify, recruit, and support instructors/speakers.
  • Develop necessary reports to adequately to track admissions and completion status and report on program performance and outcomes.
  • Provides operational support to Programs and Services strategic partners and networks, respond to prospective and accepted student inquires via phone, email, mail, and fax in a timely, professional, and accurate fashion.
  • Control and report on annual budget of approximately one million dollars.
  • Track and report all results, trends, and statistics as required.
  • Manage and maintain Salesforce databases for Program and Alumni.
  • Develop and conduct ongoing recruitment and marketing initiatives, including presentations, and brochures, program websites, and other promotional materials to effectively promote the program and strategically communicate with prospective participants.
  • Develop, generate, author, edit, and disseminate regular B2B correspondence and other communications to relevant stakeholders to include funders, partners, program participants, and program graduates.
  • Provide programmatic information to prospective participants upon request.
  • Other duties as assigned.
