Job Summary
The Leeds School of Business encourages applications for an Assistant Director of the Leeds Business Minor! Reporting to the Executive Director of the Undergraduate Program, this position is responsible for smooth operation of the Leeds Business Minor, which serves non-Leeds School of Business students. Responsibilities include administrative leadership of the program; enrollment management (recruitment, admissions); academic advising; financial oversight; and supervisory responsibilities of student employees.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Administrative Lead:
- Work closely with the Leeds Faculty Director of the Business Minor on delivery of the program. This includes:
- Estimate course capacities needed to meet student demand for completion of the minor.
- Share insights from students, prospective students, and other academic departments about the business minor curriculum.
- Offer support and collaboration to faculty director on proposed changes to the curriculum.
- Manage the Business Minor budget and be available to the Faculty Director and other school leadership to answer any question.
- Design and deliver business minor programming and enrichment events, including final competitions and recognition ceremonies.
Enrollment and Data Management:
- Manage the recruitment and admissions process, ensure admitted students enroll and track data related to enrollment management in Salesforce.
- Serve as Leeds Business Minor Salesforce superuser to track student enrollment, academic progress and engagement.
- Use CU-SIS and Salesforce data to create reports and dashboards to forecast future course needs, implement proactive advising, identify areas of program improvement and retention/intervention.
- Manage multi-system processes (e.g. map data between Salesforce, Qualtrics, Marketing Cloud and other platforms to create automated systems and dynamic personalized communications).
- Manage opt-in texting and mass SMS campaigns.
Academic Advising:
- Serve as academic advisor to 2000+ students in the minor seeking academic and professional support related to the business minor.
- Increase program retention by leading proactive communications for low-performing and/or disengaged students.
- Collaborate with cross-campus colleagues and partners to address students of concern.
- Enforce university and college-specific policies, manage student expectations and bridge student interests to appropriate co-curricular offerings.
- Primary contact during course registration cycles, addressing enrollment challenges and ensuring student record accuracy.
- Responsible for advising students and providing programming and services that support student retention in the minor.
Strategic Recruitment:
- Skillfully promote the Leeds Business Minor across campus to Faculty, Academic Advisors and their advisees to reach enrollment goals set forth by the Dean.
- Lead recruitment efforts at campus fairs, information sessions, class visits, departmental tabling, prospective student office hours, etc.
- Actively participate in cross-campus committees to further extend the network and develop greater understanding of various college and/or partner needs and interests.
Marketing & Communications:
- Coordinate marketing and communications campaigns to raise awareness among students and partners on campus to generate student intention to apply and drive application completion.
- Responsible for writing and delivering targeted internal student communications (e.g. newsletters, videos, texts, etc.) through various tech platforms (e.g. Marketing Cloud, Canvas, Mogli, Animoto, etc.) reliant on Salesforce data.
- Facilitate student focus groups and/or student interviews to collect future marketing content and ongoing program feedback.
- Customize external facing print, web and video-based marketing and communications.
- Where applicable with communications, partner with the Leeds Marketing and Communications unit to ensure brand and messaging consistency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hire, train and provide ongoing mentorship to a team of 2-5 student employees.
- Establish annual performance goals and support professional growth.
What You Should Know
Hybrid work modality, with three days on campus each week. This position has occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work, with an average of less than 1 day per month and rarely more than 2 days per month.
What We Can Offer
The starting salary range for this position is $65,000 - $71,200 annually.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
